She Wanted Proof. Then We Saw the Photograph. | Ep. 2

For our first live reading on Medium Moms, we invited Alexis to sit with us as Whitney and Anna attempted to connect with her grandmother—a woman neither of them had ever met.

The reading begins with seemingly disconnected impressions: laughter, clothing, hair, chairs, widowhood and a grandmother presenting herself in very different ways to each medium. Slowly, pieces begin to find their place.

Later, Alexis pulls out old photographs of her grandmother.

And there it is.

However, Alexis openly admits that part of her is still “longing for more proof,” leading us into an honest conversation about evidence, uncertainty, spiritual inheritance, family estrangement, grief, and what it means to continue a relationship with someone after death.

This is mediumship as we experience it: unexpected, imperfect, emotional—and occasionally capable of stopping all three of us in our tracks.
